Modern Maternity Session Detroit, MI
With Mother's Day right around the corner, I wanted to share a new take on traditional maternity photography. Maternity sessions are one of my absolute favorite sessions to shoot. The journey of pregnancy is truly incredible! I believe it is a moment in your life that should be celebrated and documented. I have met many mothers who are unsure if they want to professionally document their pregnancy. Whether they don't feel they look their best or traditional maternity photography just doesn't resonate with them- many women shy away from a maternity shoot. As a once very pregnant Mama myself, I totally get it! I had swollen legs and couldn't see my feet for months too. But, in hindsight, the maternity photos of my pregnancy are some of my most cherished.
During a maternity shoot, my goal is to underscore just how beautiful and powerful you really are!
I wanted to create an example of maternity images that would speak to the modern mother. Something a little edgier and artful. I teamed up Jasmin Busch, an incredible model, and Mama. She welcomed her son into the world just a few weeks after this shoot. I loved working with her so much and hope to collaborate again soon! The Studio: Detroit was the perfect location to bring this vision to life.
