Real life. Real love. Your family’s story.
From the quiet anticipation of pregnancy to the beautiful chaos of growing kids, I photograph families in a playful, honest way capturing the moments you’ll want to remember, not just the ones that look perfect.

FAMILY
MEET WHITNEY
I’m a mom of three, an artist at heart, and someone who deeply values slowing down long enough to notice the moments that often pass us by. The way a child reaches for your hand, the laughter that bubbles up between siblings, the quiet connection that lives in the in-between. Those are the moments that matter most to me, and the ones I love to document.
Before photography, I spent my time sketching and painting, always inspired by light, texture, and the world around me. That love for storytelling naturally found its home behind the camera. In 2017, I left my 9 to 5 in healthcare to pursue photography full-time, and I’ve never looked back.
Today, my work centers around families, often beginning in the maternity season and continuing as children grow and stories unfold year after year. I believe the most meaningful images are not perfectly posed, but honest, playful, and full of connection.
When I’m not photographing families, you’ll likely find me tending to my garden, where many of my sessions take place, renovating our old home on our little hobby farm, or chasing after alpacas, chickens, and my own kids. These spaces and experiences shape the way I see families, grounded, ever-changing, and beautifully imperfect.
My goal is to create more than just beautiful images. I want you to feel comfortable, seen, and truly yourselves, and to walk away with photographs that feel like home.
The Family Session Experience
Family sessions with me are designed to feel easy, relaxed, and true to you.
Whether this is your first time in front of the camera or you’ve done this before, my goal is to create an experience where you can simply show up and be yourselves. No stiff posing, no pressure to perform, and no expectation of perfection. Just real moments, natural connection, and space for your family to be exactly as they are in this season.
Before Your Sesssion
Once you book, I’ll help guide you through everything you need to feel prepared and confident. From choosing a location that fits your family to styling guidance that feels natural and comfortable, I’m here to make the process feel simple and stress-free.
Many families choose to photograph their session in my garden landscapes during the summer months, or at a meaningful outdoor location that reflects your story. Wherever we meet, the goal is the same: a setting where your family can move, play, and connect.
The Booking Process
Booking a session with me is meant to feel personal, intentional, and easy from the very beginning.
Step One: Reaching Out
It all starts with the inquiry form. Once I receive your message, I’ll reach out to schedule a phone consultation. I believe this first conversation matters. Photography is personal, and taking the time to talk allows me to learn more about your family, answer questions, and make sure we’re the right fit for one another.
This call is relaxed and conversational. It’s simply a chance to connect and start building a relationship before we ever pick up a camera.
During Your Session
Sessions are relaxed and gently guided. I’ll offer direction when needed, but much of the time I’m allowing moments to unfold naturally. Kids are encouraged to explore, laugh, wiggle, and be themselves. Parents are encouraged to slow down, lean in, and enjoy being together.
Some moments will be playful and full of movement. Others will be quiet and tender. All of it matters. I’m watching for the in-between moments. The hand holding, the glances, the laughter that happens when no one is trying too hard.
Step Two: Planning Together
After our call, we’ll select a session date that works best for your family. Once your date is secured, I’ll send over your photo agreement along with my style guide and access to styling tools to help you feel confident and prepared.
Wardrobe support is always available and as hands-on as you’d like it to be. From online styling resources to connecting you with a local stylist who specializes in family photography outfits, I’m here to help you find options that feel comfortable, cohesive, and true to your family.
After Your Session
Your gallery will be a reflection of your family, not a highlight reel of perfection. You can expect images that feel honest, connected, and timeless, photographs that tell your story as it is right now.
Many of the families I work with return year after year, allowing me to document their story as it grows and changes. There is something incredibly meaningful about looking back and seeing not just how everyone looked, but how it all felt.
Step Three: Details & Preparation
Together, we’ll choose the time and location for your session, keeping light, season, and your family’s needs in mind. Whether that’s one of my garden spaces or a location meaningful to you, every detail is planned with intention so your session feels relaxed and enjoyable.
My goal is for you to feel supported throughout the entire process. No guessing, no overwhelm, just thoughtful planning that allows you to show up and be present with your family.
Step Four: Your Session
By the time your session arrives, everything is in place. You’ll know what to expect, what to wear, and where we’re going. All that’s left is to slow down, enjoy being together, and let the moments unfold naturally.
